Brian Snider

Brian Snider — President and Chief Creative Officer

Finding the perfect blend of offline and online media is challenging and rewarding. After you've put your blood and sweat into multiple data and creative approaches, it's exciting to see how much you've impacted a client's business.

For the past 32 years, I've been the President and Chief Creative Officer of The GRI Marketing Group, a direct and digital marketing agency based in Trumbull, CT. I've enjoyed building a very talented internal team and a client list that includes Embrace Home Loans, Bloomberg, LLC, Time Consumer Marketing, Conde Nast, McGraw-Hill, New England Journal of Medicine, New York Life, Pitney Bowes, The Hartford, InterMedia Outdoors and dozens more.

I've rolled up my sleeves and have been personally involved with hundreds of campaigns for both B2B and B2C. As President I am responsible for the strategic direction, alliances, and executive management. As Chief Creative Officer, I handle the initial creative strategy and oversea the creative teams for each GRI client.

Before GRI, I had worked in the Fortune 500 world where I honed my business development and marketing skills.

I am a strong advocate of community and industry service. For six years, I was a board member of the Direct Marketing Club of New York and in 1996 served as its president. I have spoken at several industry functions including the DMA's annual Exhibition copywriting and strategy roundtables, The Folio show, The Small Business Publishers' Convention, and the DMCNY Evening Master Series Courses. In 2007, I received the DMCNY's Silver Apple award — recognizing over 25 years of outstanding contributions to the New York direct marketing community. And, for the past 6 years, I served as a judge for the DMA's Echo awards.

I like to do my part and currently support The Special Olympics of CT, Nephcure Foundation, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Yale New Haven Smilow Cancer Hospital, The CT Basket Brigade, the Bridgeport Rescue Mission and Paul Newman's The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. I was fortunate to have great experiences managing baseball teams at the Little League and Babe Ruth levels, and boys U12 ice hockey.

As a professional, I hold a Bachelor's of Science degree with honors in Business Administration from Northeastern University. When not at work or hanging out with family and friends, I enjoy traveling, spending time on the golf course, on a tennis court and playing music in the studio or a gig.

Eileen Hilinski

Eileen Hilinski — Managing Director

Saving our clients thousands of dollars on direct and digital production costs has been a passion of mine for the 17 years I have worked at GRI. Everyone is pulling for my team to be on-time, on-budget and with flawless execution. That is why the vendors I manage to accomplish this are the best in their field.

With GRI, you get one on one service with the experts. I am responsible for direct and digital production, account management, analytics, and marketing communications. My past experience includes managing the direct mail, telemarketing and retention programs for the Small Office Division of Pitney Bowes. Prior to Pitney Bowes, I was the Product Manager of Autovantage at CUC International Group (now Trilegiant) where the creation and purchasing of membership and communication marketing efforts were my responsibility.

Away from work, I enjoy boating with my family, golf and walking with my English Springer Spaniels.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Oswego.

Laura Farrell — Senior Art Director

What works for one client in a particular industry might not work for another client in the same industry. That's why the creative process starts by really listening to your client so you can identifying their goals and their unique target audience. This gives you insights needed to create the most effective designs to engage their specific audience. At GRI that's what we do. We tailor our communications with our client's audience to achieve maximum results.

As Senior Art Director at The GRI Marketing Group since 1997, I have directed graphic design for most of GRI's accounts including Time magazine, NY Life, The Hartford, Sport Illustrated, Columbia House, and Pitney Bowes. Our team has won several industry awards including 3 Folio's in the same year.

My career began in B-to-B as the Art Director of Promotions at Cowles Business Media in Stamford, CT. Creating the promotions for 5 publications and several conferences I gained a deeper understanding of the strategy involved in promotions, branding and direct marketing. Next, I moved to Space Age Printing & Graphics. As Art Director, I managed projects for Marriott Hotels, Westfield Shopping Centers and MBI broadening my experience in the consumer market.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts from SUNY Purchase in Purchase, NY.
